Audio Systems: phase linear uv7i bypass sequence, google search, emergency brake

Question
i have a phase linear uv7i model, and when i put a dvd in the message comes up saying " it is unlawful to have dvd in view of driver, enable emergency break sequence, and enjoy ur dvd." I have conected the green wire to the ground wire and that has not worked. What is the sequence that needs to be done in order to make it think that the emergency break is on, and i do not have  the manual
