QuestionWent dead. No lights, no sound, no aerial up, no CD, etc. Checked both fuses. Radio repair guy said that it was a board that controlled the on/off switch but he couldn't find a replacement. I'm not sure he was even aware that he was looking at a head unit and not a radio but I could be wrong. Anyway, ordered a used unit on eBay that was in "working condition" from a 1997 Explorer. Plugged it in and same thing, nothing. Checked fuses again. Checked wiring and all looks good. Could order another used unit but any other ideas/suggestions?
Answerthat is not the problem , the radio needs 3 powers and there are 3 fuses, radio, memory, amplifier
if they are all ok , the RCU tuner box is difective and needs to be replace, look on the right side panel next to the woofer , the complet panel needs to be remove
good luck
