QuestionHi Kyle
I recently purchased a pair of speakers from ebay because I'm an amatuer DJ and don't want to go spending big cash and then deciding that DJ'ing isn't for me.
Anyways, what I don't understand is, which amplifier would be suited to my speakers.
The specs are:
15" Titan Audio speakers consisting of a horn and 15" subwoofer.
- 2 x 15" 2way Speaker Boxes
- 1 x 15" Sub woofer
- 1 x (8 x 9") Horn Tweeter
- 400Watts RMS
- Freq 22-20KHz
- 8 Ohm
- Sensitivity 96dB
And the ad read: 15" 2way PA Speakers 1600W
So I'm assuming that each speaker is 800W?
I'm currently in search for a decent amplifier and I've stumbled across the following also on (ebay):
TECHNICS SU 7200 Stereo Amplifier Vintage PHONO INPUT:

Please help
thanks
AnswerAll of the amps listed are for home stereo use and are not used with PA applications which is what you need. Here is a link to examples of more like what you need. They are all listed in the 400w-600w range from lowest to highest price. Hope it gets you in the right direction.
