QuestionHi - I have a 1998 Ford Explorer. I am often unable to adjust the volume, but it is intermittent. I can't find any rhyme or reason - sometimes it works, usually it doesn't, and it is very quiet. I also have the vanishing and reappearing LCD issues, but I can live with that. Any advice? thanks so much.
AnswerTHE VOLUME KNOB NEEDS TO BE REPLACE,
the face problem needs to be repair or replace the power supply for the radio lights are on the left side of the radio ,
the board needs to be remove and all the resistor need to be replace, you will see with a flash light that they are all dark and the board is burning, the resistors are to close to the board
pioneer error
you can also send it out to be repair
oemautosound.com will repair the radio for about $100.00
good luck
