Audio Systems: Adding Aux in or line in to mach 460 sat Radio, ford lincoln mercury, auxiliary input adapter

I have a 2004 Mustang and a 2005 Expedition. Both seem to have the the same radio (Mach 460 Sat ready w/6 cd changer). I am not necesarily interested in the Satellite feature but I would like to hav a aux in or line-in for my iphone so that I can play it through the radio. In my little pea brain it seems that the sat button on the head unit could control an input from a portable device such as ipod or iphone.

If you have the SAT button on the radio use this interface

if only aux button  use this interface, some f series trucks are made in 2003 in that case this interface is not going to work
