Audio Systems: car, sony stereo, radio works

Hi,

I just bought a sony stereo system for my car.
The radio works and everything.

But however when you try to play a cd their is no volume.
The cd player works and keeps time with the cd, just simply no volume.


Any ideas on how to fix it?

ONE: Check the mute functions.
TWO: Try the suggestion in this comment:

by switching the remote and antenna leads, etc.

THREE: It is possible the unit is defective and can be replaced by the ratailer, but I think it is unlikely so try to track it down first before taking it back to the seller.
