QuestionQUESTION: I am trying to install a 6CD in dash F150 factory radio/cd (3C3T-18C815)into my 99 ford explorer and would appreciate any help you can give me with the wiring pinout on the rear of the radio/cd player. It has 2 sockets,1 with 3 rows of pins (7-6-7 pins) and 1 with 2 rows of 8 pins. Thank you.
ANSWER: use the factory plugs from your vehicle any ford from 1999 to 2002 have the same plugs

QUESTION: Thanks for that, but the sockets on this F150 cd/radio are different from the plugs in my 99 explorer, which had a CD stacker. I appreciate your help but will keep on searching.

the plugs are the same you are confuse with the radio model or the year of your vehicle
I am sure i have replace over 2,000 ford radios in the past 18 years
and we work for our local for dealer a few blocks away
no the factory plugs are not different

QUESTION: OK, maybe I didnt explain clearly, sorry bout that. My 99Explorer has a radio/cassette/CD stacker + amplifier (have already removed stacker from under rear seat and wiring). Here is a diagram of current head unit rear pins.
2nd pic is of the F150 head unit I want to install, from rear. I hope you can now understand my question. I need the pin assignment for the F150 unit. Thanks for your help.
Answerthe link i send you look at the last picture that is the 16 pin plug on the left side of the radio ,that is the only plug you need power and speakers are there the other plug is for the cd changer and rear seat controls you don't need that
open the drivers door of your vehicle and tell me when was your vehicle made i need the complete date and i need the vin number from there
