QuestionErnesto,
My issue is that I have an intermittent cutout of all sound while playing the radio. It's not dependent on driving down the road, although it does it more often. It cuts out on all types of Audio, AM, FM and CD. I am an ex Electronics and Stereo Tech (20 years ago) so in playing around with it, I have discovered that shutting it off momentarily 4-5 times in a row until it begins to play steady seems to work for a fairly long duration, maybe hours. You spoke of leaky capacitors in a previous post about Taurus radios, could this be the issue? I don't want to get rid of this system, it works well (when it works), so do you have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Curtis Fisher
Answerno this is a different audio system
the problem it is on the rcu amplifier
there is a problem in the preamp section bad contacts or cold solder
also water gets in this units all the time
maybe if you take it apart, you will find the problem
good luck
