Audio Systems: loss of volume control, sony language, ford steering

I have an 05 Ford Focus. The cd went bad and I had the whole unit replaced with a Sony. The problem is that with the new stereo I no longer have my steering column volume control. How can I fix this problem? Is it possible to regain use of the steering column controla. Please advise. Thanks

There is nothing i hate more than having controls in my vehicle that i can not use
and yes this is possible,your steering controls communicates in ford language your radio communicates in sony language
what you need is a translator that will convert the ford steering commands in to sony so your radio can understand
