Audio Systems: cd changer toyota, mp3 disc, toyota 4 runner

Question
I have a factory cd changer unit in my 95 toyota 4 runner. When I try and use the changer I get (err 1) and is just shuffles from disk to disk and displays err 1. Can you tell me what err 1 is. thanks

error1 means bad cd format cd changer believes that you insert a dvd or mp3 disc and it cann ot understand that format
i know you are trying to play a regular cd
the problem is that the laser can not read the cd be cause it is damage or needs to be aling, if that don't work
