The last site is a really good one with speaker location diagrams that are helpful.
So, you have some reading and studying to do. When you are ready, let me know and we can discuss further about it.
Generally, the basic format is called 5.1 (Dolby) reproduction and requires 5 speaker channels and one subwoofer. There are variations, but that is the basic layout. You will need a surround sound receiver of sufficient power for your speaker selections and the size of the room. Then, you will need the six loudspeaker systems properly located. Finally, and most important you will need a theatre room of sufficient size to house the reproduction equipment AND viewer/listener seating arrangements to enjoy the performances.
Best wishes,
