Audio Systems: auto cassette tape door stuck, mercedes benz c320, mercedes benz

Question
We have a 2002 Mercedes Benz C320.  It has a factory cassette player which incorrectly showed a message of "tape stuck" then (within moments) switched to "no tape" even though there is still one in the tape deck.  At no time since the first error message have we been able to eject the tape.  Additionally, the exterior cover/flap to the cassette player on our dashboard immediately froze shut so we have no access to remove the tape.  The other components of the factory sound system all appear to be working fine.  Thanks for any help or ideas you can offer.

the only thing that you can do is remove the battery for about 20 minutes and   when you plug it back  press the eject butoon
if the tape is not ejecting the radio is going to need to be service  for some reason alpine use a old tape driver that still uses belts in this vehicle and they get old sometimes
