Audio Systems: lockcode, sony dhc, cheers

hello, i have a Sony dhc-fld5 dvd stereo and i can't play dvds that i have purchased from america. I have looked for an unlock code on the net but i cannot seem to find one. Need help desperately. Thankyou

Hi Dean,

This really isn't an audio question, but I can answer it anyway.  If your DVD player has a Region Code other that #1 (U.S. & North America), then you cannot play DVDs that have a Region Code of #1.  There is no way to "unlock" it - you have to buy a player that plays Region Code 1 DVDs or buy DVDs that are encoded with the Region Code that your current player has.  There's no "unlock code" - and I've no idea where you got that idea, but I'm sorry to say it doesn't exist.  Cheers, Wink
