Audio Systems: Intermittent left side speakers, side speakers, car bumps

Playing Bose CD on 2002 Maxima, left side speakers intermittently go out or to very low volume.  Turning the car, bumps or stepping on brake fairly consisently make left side speakers sound go in/out.  Radio doesn't seem to have a problem, only CD.

these system are notoriously buggy.
these guys here say they are experts on bose repair.

I've heard alot of storys of people fixing thing after thing on these, as soon as one thing breaks and they fix it, something else breaks.

Personally I prefer to rip the whole thing out and start over but that's alot of work and cost.
