Where can I find information on the Radio Control Unit for the Ford Taurus? Can I use a used unit or should i get  new one, if so how much are they?

The amp/brain is usually found in the trunk area. I have not removed one from a Taurus that new, but most of the premium Ford sound systems have it hidden behind cargo area trim.
If you are cinsidering replacing it, I would suggest installing an after market CD player and using a proper install kit with bypass harness. Scosche makes nice kits for just that car.
