QuestionThis is re. the factory installed audio unit (am/fm/single cd). I checked the car system fuse and it's ok. The cd player makes a sound when i press eject, but nothing else on the stereo system is working: lights, clock, etc.
From this I assume the unit is still powered by the car battery. Is there an internal fuse in the stereo that could go bad...? I am hoping this is not going
to require a replacement. ALSO:do you recommend taking it to 1)Mazda dealer 2)general car audio shop or either? Thanks.
Answerhi no there is no more fuses
but inside the radio there is a power suply that maybe is having problems or inside the cd changer you insert a disc with a paper label and that is the reason why the cd is stock and make the noises
it is better to go to a car audio repair center the radio was made by pioneer and panasonic in 2000 and up
look for a pioneer or panasonic service center in your area
good luck sorry i can not help you more
if the repair is to expensive you can get a rebuilt radio from oemautosound.com
