Audio Systems: size of amp, watt amp, ohms

ok i have a 300 watt sub and a 200 watt amp can i run the 200 watt amp with the 300 watt sub?

you sure can but more importantly than matching watts to watts is matching the ohms properly.  the amp will not put out its rated 200 watts if the ohms are not right.  you could end up getting 100 or overloading it if the ohms are wrong.  if you tell me the exact make and model of the amp and sub I can help with that.
