also.....how do you find out the polarity in speaker wires? what too must i use?

Go to radio shack and ask them about it.

you can use a 9v battery to determine the polarity of a speaker that is wired in the vehicle. If the speaker 'pops' towards the interior of the vehicle when you put the 9v leads to it for a short burst, the wire that the positive lead of the battery is on is the positive lead to the speaker.
