Audio Systems: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Radio, jeep grand cherokee, bad rain

We have a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee and this morning (Tuesday) our radio wouldn't work.  It's the factory installed original radio. The LED lights work fine and the clock is correct.  It doesn't seem to be picking up radio signals at all.  There is only static on the dial.  We had a bad rain last night, but could that affect it?  It worked Sunday when we were in the Jeep, but we didn't use the vehicle Monday.  Is there anything I can do?

yes water can afect the unit check under  the rear seat passanger side that is where the amplifier is  
if there is water you are going to needs a new unit
