Audio Systems: stereo removal, pioneer cd player, ford thunderbird

Question
I need to remove a cd player from my car and want to do it myself.  How do I remove a Pioneer cd player (about 3 yr. old model) from a mid 90s Ford Thunderbird? Take into consideration that I am female and know nothing about this stuff :)! Thanks so much,

Don't underestimate yourself; some of the best installers around are females.

The Thunderbird and Cougar are the same basic installation and removal.

You will need a special DIN tool, or be able to fashion one by yourself; this tool is used to reach in and pull the chassis out.
