how do you hook up two amps in one car?

Answer
Same as hooking up one input.

Audio coming out from the head unit is connected to the input of the amps.  Usually by rca phono cables.  If there is only one set of audio outputs on the head unit, you may need to purchase a Y doubler connection so that the output can be split and two cable can be connected to the output.

You can buy such splitters at any electronics department.
