QuestionFactory-installed Woofer is blown, and I just want to replace it with
a similar/same woofer. Removed speaker panel and tried to remove
it, but it is apparently screwed in place. Best Buy repair guys would
not remove it, and claim entire rear inside panel must be removed
to get at bolt holding woofer in place. I did not attempt to remove
entre rear panel. I tried to unscrew the thing, but no luck.
Questions:
- Should I just bring the car to the dealer and have them replace it?
- Will local stereo auto sales/service shops be able to replace it?
- Is this something I can do myself with your guidance?
Thanks for your help!
AnswerHi
there is one single screw in the back of the speaker in the midle of the magnet yes to take out all the side pannel nneds to be remove to take the box out and remove this single screw
if you are lucky you can take the paper out of the speaker and turn the speaker until it comes out it work 5 times out of 10 for me
