Audio Systems: Lost sound on CD, sound OK on radio, toyota camry, factory radio

'04 Toyota Camry factory radio with CD. CD has now lost all volume output, but volume is fine on the radio.

Answer
If you cannot locate a recessed reset button on it, you will need to replace it.
Repair is not cost effective at all.

You can get a 100 watt AM/FM/XM (sattelite capable) head unit that plays CD, CD-R or CD-RW and MP3's for under
$100.00.  We are talking about 70-256 songs PER cd (depending on the MP3 encoding rate).
Say goodbye to changers :)
