Audio Systems: phillips surround sound, internal speakers, panasonic tv

bought system and hooked it up to a panasonic tv i hooked it up exactly like instructions said and i can get sound from all 5 speakers when watching a dvd,but then no sound when watching the tv channels.whats up?

Dear Rick,

Unless the TV's audio output is connected to the receiver, the only TV sound you'll get is from the TV's internal speakers. Make sure the AUDIO OUT jacks on the TV are connected to an audio input on your receiver.
