Audio Systems: What does Sony Psyc stand for?, sony psyc, synchronous conferencing

Hi, thanks for answering my question. Sony has a line of products called Psyc. I looked on their website to see if I could find out what that means, but I couldn't find it.  Is it short for "psycho," or "psychedelic," or what you say when you play a joke and freak somebody out? Perhaps it refers to the successor to IRC, the "Protocol for SYnchronous Conferencing." But I don't see what that has to do with a boombox.

Sony PSYC is a line of portable audio/video devices. Go to this URL and type "PSYC" into the search window for a list of products:
