have a '97 Saturn SL2 that has lost the internal light. Cannot see station or time at nite. How to replace?

With this stereo you have to first determine if the display is an LCD display or a vacuum tube display. In most stereos they will use a VFD, (vacuum florescent display) The most common cause of a no display condition is due to a faulty display power supply. The problem with an LCD display will be that the back light/s have burned out.
