Every time I put a cd into my JVC stereo, it ejects it, like the eject button is stuck, but its not...?

The CD may be ejecting due to a dirty lens in the laser pick up or the pick up may be defective. On some players the full in switch may be defective and the CD won't play until it is in the full lock down position.
