Audio Systems: Sony Cd Player, sony cd player, track numbers

Ok i have a sony cd player i bought like 4 month ago it's still really new and i havent used much I just installed it in my camaro all the wires are attached and correctly the radio will play threw the speakers but when you turn it to the cd it will show the track numbers like its playing the cd but no sound comes out can you help me i cant figure out whats wrong and its driving me crazy

Since the stereo is this new, it should still be under a warranty from the mnfr. If you have the install book make sure all the outputs for the stereo are connected. If the radio works OK, I don't see any reason that the CD wouldn't play to the speakers either, unless the CD has seperate output lines or the CD section is faulty.
