Audio Systems: Radio complications, zoominternet net, cd mp3 player

I have a 92 Thunderbird, with a factory installed tape deck.  I recently upgraded to a Durabrand CMV-102A CD/MP3 player.  While I was driving it quit on me and would not come back on.  I replaced the player and the wire harness without any successful results.  When i put the tape deck back in out of desperation, it will light up but doesn't show the time, play the radio or cassettes.  Any suggestions?

Double check all the power and ground connections. make sure that you have a 12 volt at all times and a switched 12 volt feed from the ignition.
