Audio Systems: JBL 6-disc in-dash CD changer and stereo, sound volume, disc changer

This stereo/CD changer was factory-installed in my 2002 Camry.  I first noticed occasional loud thumping/popping sound.  Volume and speakers work fine.  I then noticed that I could hear a whirring sound from the CD changer, even when radio was on and no CD in changer. The past few days, the sound from radio will occassionally disappear and then reappear, even cut off once.  Any thoughts?

It sounds like a possible power problem with your stereo. You should have your stereo serviced by a qualified servoice center. These 6 disc changer stereos are quite complicated to work on ever for a pro.
