Audio Systems: Amp repair, output transistor, car amps

Hello, I have an MTX thunder 6304 amp that powers up but i dont get anything to the speakers. I know all the wiring is good cause i have wired up other amps to the system and everything works. What is the problem and is it fixable? Also if it is Fixable do you know any place online or other that can fix it cheaper than MTX. They wanted 85 plus shipping and handling to fix.

To be honest, with todays labor cost's, $85 is a bargan! If you are looking for someone to fix this amp for less than that you may want to contact some stereo repair shops and ask if they repair car amps. Any number of problems can cause this amp to have NO output. A shorted output transistor will cause a shut down of the output section.
