Audio Systems: skipping.., work bench, new cd

i have a 93 toyota soaror with a factory head unit. for some reason it skips even on a brand new cd. i have run cleaners through it but they skip too. i think the laser is getting itself jamed. is there any way to repair it. i'm up for thousands if i have to get a replacement.
