Audio Systems: Tv background music, sounds., graphic equalizers, graphic equalizer
QuestionCurrently, I find most show have aggravating background music with a variety of noises - also, many times the volume is too loud - Is there a method to use a graphic equalizer to help alleviate the problem?
AnswerDear John,
Generally, graphic equalizers shape the existing sound. They can accent and deemphasize certain frequencies and so might (emphasis: "might") help with certain kinds of "background" sounds. It would be more helpful if you could describe if these "aggravating...noises" are imbedded in what you're watching (difficult to solve with an equalizer) or bleeding from another sound source--say, you're listening to a DVD and can hear an FM signal in the background (very solvable).
Look forward to hearing from you.
Kindest regards,
Kevin
