Audio Systems: toyota cd player, toyota avalon, rubbing alcohol

I have a 97 toyota avalon with an AD1700 radio and a L4202 cd 3 disc cartridge changer.  the display on the changer constantly reads E-02 and will not play cd's.  What is wrong with it and is there a way that I can fix it or do I need to have it profesionally fixed?

The error code refers to a problem with the laser pick up assembly. Most likely you can correct the problem by cleaning the laser lense with a Qtip dampened with rubbing alcohol. If the cleaning doesn't restore normal operation, you may need to have the CD assembly replaced.
