Audio Systems: cassette consumption, radio cassette cd, grand caravan

I have an 200 Grand Caravan, Infinity OEM radio/cassette/cd. The "reverse" function has not worked consistantly for some time on the cassette, and now it's eating them. Does this sound like a cleaning problem or a bad situation? Thanks.

The problem may be due to a slipping clutch on one of the take up reels in the tape deck if this deck uses them. The tape problem may also be caused by a worn out pinch roller. several other factors can cause the deck to eat the tape! Please contact me direct for more info about your stereo.
