Audio Systems: Kenwood KDCMP919, vacuum fluorescent display, sound buttons

My KDC MP919 stereo works, (sound & buttons function) however there is no display at all.  I have tried the reset button without success.  What can I do to remedy this situation?

Hello Ron,
If the display is a VFD, vacuum fluorescent display. I find most often on these defective solder connections. I also find defective power supplies that provide the exite voltage for the display.
