Audi Repair: Bleed fuel system, diesel filter, half a minute
QuestionHi-have a 1998 Audi A4 2.5L TDI V6. My partner has removed/replaced turbo, pipes etc to check for the source of an oil leak. The air now needs to be bled out of the fuel system but we don't know how-can you help. Thxs.
AnswerHi Ella,
Well the easier way to do it is to remove the diesel filter and fill it up with fresh diesel, then crank the car till the system bleeds it self out. you'll need a fully charged battery for this and it would take a minute or two before it starts. Just dont crank the starter too long and wait half a minute between cranks to let the starter cool down.
