Audi Repair: rattle at idle, generation diesel, audi a3
QuestionI have an Audi A3, 2008 2.0 tfsi with DSG with 2500 miles. It suddenly developed a loud rattle, that seems to be located somewhere under console or glove box. It is present just at idle and sounds like a first generation diesel is hidden there...It will not go away when engine is warm, but it is not present all the time( of course that was not there when I went to the dealer)
Thanks for helping.
AnswerIt is well known that any annoying rattles and squeeks will disappear as soon as you are within 100yards of a dealership. But with a new car like that I would persist and go back to the dealer again, even leave it with them so that they can adress the problem. A rattle is very distracting and especially on a new car, it needs to be resolved. Without listening to it I have no idea what can be causing your problem, sorry. Let me know what you find, Jan
