Audi Repair: Audi A6, audi a6, ac compressor

QUESTION: I went through the fuses under the knee bolster and there was a big 40 burnt out but I replaced it and it did nothing for me. Should I go through the ones on the side?

ANSWER: Yep I would check them all.  What was the big 40 that was burnt out for?  I am always weary when something that big blows, without finding a reason...  Let me know,  Jan

That is why I asked; has to be a high current draw item, so I'd think sunroof motor, window motors, defogger, ABS pump, AC compressor...  There should be a sticker on the lower bolster on the inside with a description of relay positions and fuses which gives you the information; did you check that?  If not switch on your engine, and try all of your electrical systems and see if the fuse pops again.
