Audi Repair: Back window in soft-top fell out, audi a4 cabriolet, 2003 audi a4 cabriolet

I own a 2003 Audi A4 Cabriolet 3.0  Recently I experienced the back window separating from the soft-top.  When I brought it to the dealership, they said that the window could not be bonded back to the top and that the entire top needed to be replaced.  This was a cost of $6,000.00.  This must be a defect because I don't remember signing an disclaimer that said the back window could fall off the top.  Have you heard of this before?  If so, what was the outcome?

I have seen this one time on TT, byt the car was still under warranty. Try to call Audi of N. America and cry ( a lot) whey may give you some help. ( most of the time they do)If not try any shop that repair tops.
On Audis we replace whole top , just like they recomended.
