Cadillac Repair: hesitation on acceleration above 40mph, nets key pathway, key of the proper type

1970 Cadillac Coupe Deville here...When I accelerate, I feel hesitation, like it doesnt want to accelerate, and runs a little rough. Plug cables fine and secure, doesn't appear to be any vacuum lines loose, or anything, (that I know of!), Could it be a semi dirty air filter?, or moisture in the cap perhaps? What do you recommend?

This is to general of question to answer with specifics. Could have bad accelerator pump in carb, secondaries binding up (common on quadrabog), timing, valve issues. The best thing is to have the engne scoped or better yet put on Dyno to find the exact issue, saving you time and money without the guess work.
