QuestionI have a 1984 Cadillac Deville. I was driving around and
noticed my brake lights aren't working. I turned on the
hazard lights and they all work. I really can't afford a
ticket right now and would like to get it taken care of.
I've replaced my starter, my alternator, my starter switch,
my oil, tires, brake pads, and a few other things. So I know
a little bit about the vehicle. Please help me with this
issue.
AnswerHello,
Since I am not at the car, I can only give you some things to look for. The first being the brake light switch under the dash at the pedal. Is it out of adjustment? Is power going to it?
Its a plastic threaded switch. If you are changing it, it pulls right out,
To adjust, push the pedal down. Push the brake switch down. Let go of the pedal, it will self adjust.
