QuestionJust got the Caddy, (I have NO help for little oddds and ends like this) the windshield wipers quit working, inside courtesy lights went out before this, I DO have manual, has got to be fusess!!outside mirrors wontauto move, doors wont auto lock, no vanity lights and now wipers! Can I, Myself, remove hush panel and replace fuses?? I am 66yrs old and can physically do this. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, where is hush panel?? I almost removed a panel?directly under steering wheel. Can I hurt anything by doing this? Are all fuses in/behind this hush panel anddoes this car have circuit breakers??? As you can tell, I know NOTHING. This Cadillac was given to me by relative in same condition as when driven off dealer showroom in 1992. I am told that I,ME, can replace a fuse. Do you THINK this is something an ordinary person can do who knows NOTHING about cars and has never even pumped gas. I did just move "back home" also which is backwoods Mammoth Cave National Park, KY. I need HELP and Thanks, Betty
AnswerHi Betty,
I love the area. Went past it many times when seeing a former girlfriend in Tennessee. Now I have settled in the Dallas area and miss the beauty of Tennessee and Kentucky. Cumberland tril is awesome!
As for your car, I would be concerned why it is blowing all these fuses. This is not normal.
I will personally guide you through all this though. I want you to send me a personal email of what is not working now. My email is
[email protected].
I will be travling to Wisconsin tomerrow for 4 days before I get back to Dallas, but I will get email through my Iphone and will respond when I can.
I hope you have the owners manual and if you can determine if there is more than one fuse box from it.
