Cadillac Repair: 1996 Cadillac Deville, cadillac dealer, cadillac deville
QuestionHi, I have a question about my Cadillac Deville. I was driving it for about 30km at 80km/hr. and all of a sudden the oil pressure sensor lit up. It then said to shut off the engine right away. I couldn't shut off engine as I was away from home. When I did get home I let the car cool for a bit to see what the problem was. I tried to check the coolant but it was still too hot after 45 min. of cooling. I just changed the oil in the car as well that day but it was after I had the message to shut off engine. It seems like a problem with the oil getting through the engine but is there any other thing that could be wrong. If it is a problem with the oil getting through the engine, what would that involve to get fixed. I would really appreciate it if you could help me out before I make the trip to the Cadillac dealer. Thank you very much
Nancy
AnswerI must be missing something, As your question seems kind of oDD.
1. The OIL PRESSURE light came ON ?.
2. You checked the anti-freeze because the OIL PRESSURE light came ON ?.
QUESTION: is the oil dipstick showing that the oil level is to LOW or is it showing that it
is OVER FULL ?.
Is the anti-freeze showing that it is LOW ?.
