QUESTION: What is the going price to replace the convertor.I've been quoted $2000 and to service the tire monitor. The tire monitor light seems to be an ongoing problem at about $400 a whack Did Cadillac have a problem with this. This is an 04 model.

QUESTION: Not saying the convertor is faulty the service engine light came on I took it into the cadillac dealer and they said that was the problem and price. The tire monitor service light is also coming on again and was told it was $400 this is the 2nd time this has been replaced could the digital read out possibly be faulty?

It is EXTREMLY RARE that a torque converter goes bad.

The FIRST thing we need to do is to retrieve the CODES from the computers via the climate control panel.

I need to know what MODEL vehicle your 04 vehicle is and I also need to know if you have a DIGITAL or ANALOG speedometer.

It is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that the digital readout is inop.
