Cadillac Repair: 2001 CARDILLAC, jumper cables, many things

My battery was dead and I tried to jump my car.  However, the lights came on when I conected the jumper cables, but the car was just clicking when I tried to start it.  What is the problem.

Hello,

There are many questions I can answer and there are many I can't without being at the car. The clicking is only a symptom for many things that cuold be wrong. Off hand, my thought would be a bad starter, but you need someone to actually look at the vehicle to find out exactly what is wrong.
