air compressor will not engage.  climate control will not go to auto, stays on econ   freon is not low  something electrical maybe

If the A/C compressor will NOT engage, How do you know you have enough freon in it ?.

What you need to do is put a set of freon gages on the system and jumper the A/c compressor relay and see what the HIGH & LOW side pressures are reading on the gages.
