Cadillac Repair: Intake Manifold Gasket Repair 4.1L, intake manifold gasket, check ebay

I am about to undertake replacing this myself and I can't remember the name of the "pellets" I need to ad to the radiator after I put in in new antifreeze, any idea what there called?  also, any advice you can offer would be great, the haynes and chilton books are pretty much worthless.

Hi Michael,

I don''t recommend masking a manifold leak with any type of sealer, and I am familiar with pellets but have not used them for years. Cold solder makes a good sealer as does barsleak.

As far as repair information for your engine, check ebay for a Cadillac engine service manual 85-89 FWD deville--83-89 Eldo-Seville Big one and little ones I believe.
Should be able to get one for $50 or under.
