Cadillac Repair: abs light, jumper pins, code 61

QUESTION: 92 Cadillac eldrado antilock light stays on
i jumped pins  a h  and have a code 61
could this be a relay  if so where are the relays located.
all fuses good  wiring and connections look good

ANSWER: You do NOT jumper pins on this vehicle.

1. Ignition ON. Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER (^) buttons on your climate control panel for 3 seconds and release the buttons.

3. Diagnostic codes will appear in the form of LETTERS & NUMBERS along with the word HISTORY or CURRENT with EACH CODE that displays.

4. The display will stop at ECM?

5. Tell me what codes you get and if they are HISTORY or CURRENT.

ANSWER: OK, FIRST, You need to CLEAR (erase) ALL the codes via the climate control panel and see which codes return as HISTORY or CURRENT. As we need to fix the codes here BEFORE proceeding to the next problem.


1. After the E098 and A048 display you will se ECM?

2. push and release the HI button and you will see ECM DATA?

3. Keep pushing and releasing the LO button until you see ECM CLEAR CODES?

4. Push and release the HI button and you will see ECM CODES CLEAR?

5. Wait 3 seconds and push and release the OFF button until you see ECM?

6. Push and release the LO button TWICE and you will see ACP?

7.push and release the HI button and you will see ACP DATA?

8. Keep pushing and releasing the LO button until you see ACP CLEAR CODES?

9.  Push and release the HI button and you will see ACP CODES CLEAR?

10. Wait 3 seconds and turn OFF the ignition key.

11. Wait 15 seconds and re-enter diagnostics and see which codes return as HISTORY or CURRENT.
