how do i fix the miss in my 1979 ford f-150?

That's a little vague. Does it happen all the time, or only at certain times? Have you replaced anything or had any work done on it lately? Have you recently changed gasoline? Has it been doing it for more than the last tankful?
These are some things I'd like to find out first.
